¼ cup white sugar g
2 tablespoons hot water g
1 teaspoon salt g
¼ cup white vinegar g

1 tablespoon dried oregano g
1 large tomato, diced g
1 red bell pepper, diced g
¼ cup finely diced sweet onion g
1 (8 ounce) package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese g

Instructions

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil; cook rotini at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain; rinse with cold water to cool. Set aside.

Whisk sugar, water, and salt together in a large bowl until sugar dissolves; whisk in vinegar, oil, and oregano. Stir tomato, bell pepper, and onion into vinaigrette; gently fold in cheese and rotini. Season salad with black pepper.
